Mushi Mushi

What is Mushi? It is a fairly simple play on words - movies and sushi - wittedly thought up by my mate Mike. I had never made rolls before but thanks to the great teachings from Mr. Lin on YouTube I felt like a pro. Sadly, feeling like as opposed to actually being like are two completely different things. It was fun though even if it was a bit messy and fishy.

First attempt at rolling

Um......

Lots of rolling

my mum would be so proud!

I have started taking 'Painting with acrylics for beginners'. I'm no Picasso thats for sure, but here is my first piece of art work. I didn't have time to finish it. And what did I paint? Its supposed to be a bottle and skull with horns.

Sushi Tetsu

I got a booking at Sushi Tetsu!! So what is it about this place that makes me want to write about it?

It is quite possibly the hardest place ever to get a reservation due to the fact it is tiny! It literally seats 7 people at a bar and to get a booking, you can only call on 2 certain days of the month and you can only book one month ahead. Luckily I have understanding work colleagues so they understood why I spent one morning pushing re-dial for three hours straight like a total lunatic!

We ordered a Sushi & Sashimi Omakase meal. Omakase literally means 'I'll leave it to you'. It was pretty expensive (£88) but we thought why not! The food was amazing. I found it difficult to slow down to savour the food as it was so good. I just wanted to devour the food!

All in all a great place and experience!

Praha

I just got back from a lovely weekend in Prague, visiting Netty.

Unlike the pre-conceived ideas I had of the city, it is not full of prostitutes, stag or hen dos. If they are there, I didn't notice it. I thought it was very relaxed and laid back.

I was amazed at how cheap things are. You can buy a glass of wine or large beer for about £1. It's so cheap. The average price for a meal was like £5.00.
Netty and I pose for the obligatory photo.
View of Prague Castle and bridge as night falls. We literally waiting for 2 hours waiting for the sun to set to take this picture!

The tower with crawling "babies" - also known as Žižkov Television Tower. The apartment we were staying has this creepy tower outside. It's just plain weird!

Getting the priorities right!!!

This is Prague orloj, or The Prague astronomical clock. Every hour the figures on each side move. You should see the hoards of tourists overtime this happens. It is mayhem!!

Gods Own Junkyard

I stumbled across this neon sign makers in Walthamstow. It's the oldest sign makers in London. It is really cool!
